Hi there, I'm Sarah! I am a Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University in Social & Personality Psychology, with a minor in Cognitive Science. I am funded by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the Sage Fellowship, and advised by David Pizarro (Chair), Laura Niemi, John Doris, and Shaun Nichols.
My research primarily lies in the field of moral psychology, and I am especially interested in the relationship between moral character perceptions and persuasion. How does being perceived as a "good" or "bad" person influence one's ability to change other people's beliefs and behaviors? Read more here.
Prior to attending graduate school, I spent my life in southeast Tennessee, tucked between the Tennessee River and the Appalachian foothills. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Lee University, and then worked for one year as the lab manager of the Applied Moral Psychology (AMP) Lab at Cornell.
